TICE HEADED TO METS’ ORGANIZATION

MOORHEAD, MINNESOTA — The contract of Kansas City T-Bones’ INF Dylan Tice (pictured) has been purchased by the New York Mets, the American Association announced on Saturday.

In 68 games with the T-Bones, Tice batted .331 with one home run and 16 RBIs while posting a .481 on base percentage, fourth best in the league. The switch hitter also added 12 stolen bases to his resume.

Tice began his professional career in 2015 after being drafted in the 36th round of the MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals. In 109 games across two seasons in the Cardinals organization, the Westchester University alum batted .290. Last season Tice starred for the Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am League, batting .327 with five home runs, 49 RBIs and 32 stolen bases.
