Fargo-Moorhead 13, St. Paul 5Box

An eight-run second inning fueled the RedHawks to a 13-5 win against St. Paul. CF Nic Jackson sparked the rally with a two-run homer, and 2B C.J. Retherford followed with a grand slam. LF Anthony Kaskadden, who went 3-for-5 with two RBIs, had an RBI single in the inning, and 3B Ronnie Bourquin plated a run by drawing a bases-loaded walk. Starter Taylor Stanton allowed three runs across six innings to get the win. For the Saints, 3B Henry Wrigley went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer.

Kansas City 9, Lincoln 2Box

Kansas City 3B TJ Mittlestaedt set the tone in the leadoff spot, homering in the first at-bat of the game, and the T-Bones went on to beat Lincoln, 9-2. The T-Bones had 12 hits and seven walks, putting plenty of pressure on Lincoln’s pitching staff. CF Robby Kuzdale went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and hit a two-run homer in the ninth to cement the win.  Right-hander Jared Messer picked up the win after pitching 2/3 of an inning in relief. DH Nick Schwaner and 2B Danny Richar both added two RBIs.

Winnipeg 12, Gary SouthShore 0Box

Left-hander Chris Salamida pitched a four-hit shutout against the RailCats in a 12-0 win. It was Salamida’s first complete-game shutout this season through 14 starts. Two Goldeyes — 2B Brock Bond and CF Reggie Abercrombie — had four hits. Abercrombie led Winnipeg with four RBIs. 1B Casey Haerther batted 3-for-5, including a seventh-inning home run and had three RBIs.
