MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Texas AirHogs’ RHP Zhang Tao has been named this week’s Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week for the week ending August 25, 2019.
Tao earned the award after allowing just two runs in 12 innings of work this past week. In his first start of the week, a 3-1 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs on August 20, Tao allowed just one hit over seven innings, walking none and striking out nine in the process. In his second start, a 8-2 win over the Cleburne Railroaders on August 25, Tao gave up just two runs in five innings of work.
