MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Sioux Falls Canaries’ OF Clint Coulter has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 25, 2019.
Coulter earned the award after hitting .458 with four doubles, one triple, one home run, and seven RBIs this past week. During the week, Coulter reached base multiple times in every game but one while collecting 11 hits and drawing 6 walks. On the season, the righty is hitting .292 with 17 home runs and 66 RBIs.
The 26-year-old began his professional career in 2012 after being drafted in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. Coulter spent seven seasons in the Brewers’ organization before signing with the Canaries over the offseason. Coulter put up his best prior statistical season in 2014 with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, hitting .287 with 22 home runs and 89 RBIs.
