MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Texas AirHogs’ RHP Kevin Hilton has been named this week’s Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week for the week ending July 21, 2019.
Hilton earned the award after throwing eight shutout innings in a 4-0 win over the Milwaukee Milkmen on July 18. In the outing, Hilton allowed just three hits while walking one and striking out nine. The-27-year-old is now 3-6 on the year with a 3.97 ERA.
Hilton began his professional career in 2017 with the Texas AirHogs, going 1-2 with a 4.93 ERA in 11 appearances (three starts). The California State San Marcos alum did not pitch in 2018 before rejoining Texas in 2019.
