BARNUM EARNS PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Chicago Dogs’ INF Keon Barnum has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending July 21, 2019. 

Barnum earned the award after hitting .500 with four home runs and 14 RBIs over six games last week. On the season, Barnum is now hitting .324 with 18 home runs and 57 RBIs.

The 26-year-old began his professional career in 2012 after being drafted in the first round of the MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. Barnum spent seven seasons in the White Sox organization, reaching Double-A three times. He has already matched his career high for home runs in a season with 18.
