Fargo-Moorhead 15, Sioux City 3 — Box Score

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks exploded for 13 runs in final four innings to drop the Sioux City Explorers 15-3.

Nine different batters had hits in the game for the RedHawks and five of them had multi-hit games. CF Kes Carter and SS Bryan Johns each had three hits and three runs scored and three RedHawks – DH Keury De La Cruz, 3B Josh Mazzola and C Luke Bailey – had two hits. De La Cruz had a game-high three RBI.

For the Explorers, 1B Matt Koch went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Kansas City 9, Sioux Falls 7 — Box Score

The Kansas City T-Bones scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to break a tie and claim a 9-7 win against the Sioux Falls Canaries.

The Canaries tied the score at seven with three runs in the bottom of the eighth but in the top of the ninth, 2B Brett Wiley doubled home both DH Anthony Gallas and 3B Brandon Tierney for what were ultimately the game-winning runs. Tierney finished the night 3-for-5 and Wiley ended up with a game-high four RBI. LF Starlin Rodriguez also had three hits in the game.

For the Canaries, 1B David Bergin went 3-for-4 with three RBI and hit his seventh home run of the season.

 

Winnipeg 3, Gary SouthShore 0 — Box Score

The Winnipeg Goldeyes’ pitching staff combined to shutout the Gary SouthShore RailCats 3-0.

Starting pitcher Ethan Carnes earned the win for working the first six innings and giving up three hits and striking out four batters. Reliever Kyle Anderson allowed just one hit over the next two frames and Reliever Robert Tasin sealed the win and picked up the save.

SS Maikol Gonzalez, 1B Jacob Rogers and RF Ridge Hoopii-Haslam each had an RBI in the seventh inning to provide more than enough run support.

 

 

Wichita 6, Laredo 2 — Box Score

The Wichita Wingnuts scored four runs in the first three innings and that proved to be enough as they held off the Laredo Lemurs 6-2.

1B Matt Chavez opened the scoring with an BRI single in the first and Wichita tacked on two more in the second after CF Harrison Kain scored on a fielder’s choice and C Brent Dean scored as DH Zack Cox reached on an error. In the third, RF Richard Prigatano hit a leadoff solo shot and LF Brent Clevlen added a two-run shot of his ow in the sixth.

For the Lemurs, DH Ty Morrison scored in the fifth and C Zane Chavez hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth. Starting pitcher Alex Boshers pitched a complete game and allowed two runs on seven hits while striking out five.

 

Lincoln at Texas – Postponed

The game between the Lincoln Saltdogs and the Texas AirHogs has been postponed and will be made up as a part of a double header beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6.

 

Joplin at St. Paul — Suspended

The Joplin Blasters and the St. Paul Saints were suspended after the sixth inning due to the curfew rule. The Saints were leading the Blasters 4-3 when the game was halted. The game, which did not start until 10 p.m. because of rain, will resume Wednesday at 5 p.m.
