DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Laredo Lemurs RHP Jeremy Strawn (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week for the week ending August 24.
Strawn, the American Association Pitcher of the Month for July, twirled a complete game shutout on Wednesday at the Grand Prairie AirHogs. He struck out nine and walked only one while allowing four hits. On the season, he is now 8-0 with a 2.57 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 66 and 1/3 innings.
Strawn and the Lemurs take on the Amarillo Sox in a doubleheader at home tonight at 5:30 p.m. Central time. That game, like all American Association and Can-Am League games, will be available to watch live and for free at www.independentprofessionalbaseball.com from InnovaTV.
