Lincoln 11, Fargo-Moorhead 9- Box
The Saltdogs outlasted the RedHawks in an 11-9 matinee slugfest at Newman Outdoor Field on Thursday. Lincoln pounded out 15 hits in the win, including two-run home runs from RF Randolph Oduber in the second, 1B Trever Adams in the sixth, and 3B Tommy Mendonca in the seventh. Mendonca and DH Curt Smith finished the day with three hits apiece to lead the Saltdogs.
RHP Leuris Gomez struck out three in three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win, while RHP Cameron McVey recorded the final out and a save.
Fargo-Moorhead LF Ryan Pineda went 2-for-3 with a home run in the loss.
