St. Paul 4, Sioux Falls 1- Box 

The Saints snapped a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning and added two insurance runs to beat the Canaries 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon at the Birdcage in Sioux Falls. With the score knotted at 1-1 in the sixth, 1B Brady Shoemaker laced a double for St. Paul, and LF Anthony Gallas singled him home. Shoemaker helped add insurance with a solo homer in the eighth, and RF Danny Oh chipped in an RBI double in the ninth.

Gallas had a team-high three hits in the game. RHP Benji Waite struck out four in 5.1 innings, earning the win. RHP Seth Rosin worked a scoreless ninth for the save. 

Sioux Falls LF Burt Reynolds went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the loss.

 

Gary SouthShore 7, Sioux City 0- Box

A four-run sixth inning for the RailCats helped to break open a close game and give Gary SouthShore a 7-0 home win. The four runs scored on four different plays in the inning — an RBI single from C James Alfonso, an RBI double by 3B Kris Goodman, a bases-loaded walk to CF Chase Harris, and a wild pitch to score Goodman.

1B Randy Santiesteban had a team-high three hits for the RailCats in the win. RHP Charle Rosario was dominiant in his start, tossing a five-hit complete game shutout. He struck out two in the effort.

CF Tony Campana was 2-for-4 for Sioux City in the loss.
