RedHawks LF Chris Grayson hit a third-inning RBI single, and his pitching staff handled the rest of the job in a 1-0 Fargo-Moorhead win on Thursday afternoon at Newman Outdoor Field.
With C Charlie Valerio on second, Grayson stepped up and singled him home. He was one of five RedHawks with one hit each in the game.
LHP Will Solomon was dominant for Fargo-Moorhead, scattering three hits over eight shutout innings. He struck out six. RHP Casey Weathers shut the door in the ninth for the save.
Kansas City C Tony Caldwell had two hits in the loss.
