Fargo-Moorhead 5, Salina 2- Box
The RedHawks used strong starting pitching and the long ball to complete a three-game sweep of the Stockade with a 5-2 win. RHP Dylan Mouzakes tossed seven shutout innings for Fargo-Moorhead, scattering three hits and two walks and striking out five en route to earning the win.
Offensively, the RedHawks broke open a 1-0 game in the sixth with back-to-back solo home runs. With two out, CF Kes Carter hit his second homer of the season, and 2B Ryan Pineda followed with his fourth.
An inning later, a pair of insurance runs scored on an RBI double by RF KD Kang and an RBI single from Carter. Carter, Kang, 1B Mitch Delfino and LF Derrick Fox all collected two hits apiece for the RedHawks in the win.
Salina C Jesse Baker was 2-for-4.
