RAILROADERS COME BACK TO BEAT SALTDOGS

Cleburne 6, Lincoln 3- Box Score

The Cleburne Railroaders came back from down three to defeat the Lincoln Saltdogs 6-3 on Sunday.

The Saltdogs hit solo home runs in the top of the second (Angel Reyes), third (Curt Smith), and fourth (Brant Whiting) innings to take a 3-0 lead. However, the Railroaders tied the game in the bottom of the frame scoring one on a single by Angelo Gumbs and two on a single by Blake Grant-Parks.

In the bottom of the sixth, Cameron Monger smacked a solo home run, his second on the season, to give Cleburne the go-ahead run. The Railroaders would go on to score two more in the seventh.

Jesus Sanchez pitched 1.1 innings of relief in his first appearance with Cleburne to earn the win. Shawn Blackwell pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his fourth save.

With the win, the Railroaders improved to 12-17 overall, while Lincoln fell to 18-12.
