Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that Walters, who has 85 games of major league experience under his belt, found his groove. A former ninth round pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2010, Walters most recent stop in the bigs was a three-game stint with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016. This season is the former University of San Diego Aztecs’ first in independent ball.
