DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks RHP Dylan Mouzakes (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 28.

Mouzakes made his season debut on Monday, facing the Cleburne Railroaders in Cleburne, Tex. Over five innings, he allowed one run on two hits and two walks, and struck out three Railroader hitters. The RedHawks won 2-1.

Mouzakes was dominant in his second start this week, a Friday outing against the Salina Stockade in Kansas City, Kan. Over seven innings of work, Mouzakes scattered three hits and two walks, and did not allow a run. He struck out five Stockade hitters, and the RedHawks went on to win 5-2.

On the year, Mouzakes is now 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA in 12 innings of work. The Dix Hills, N.Y. product is in his second year with Fargo-Moorhead, compiling a 2-0 record and 4.76 ERA in 2016. He struck out 23 hitters in 22.2 innings pitched a season ago.

Fargo-Moorhead is Mouzakes’ first professional stop after a collegiate career at Pace University in New York, N.Y. Mouzakes was an all-conference first team selection in the Northeast-10 in his senior season in 2016, and finished his collegiate career with 17 wins, third most in Pace history. Eight of those 17 victories were recorded in Mouzakes’ successful senior season.
