Laredo 15, Joplin 4 – Box

Laredo scored 10 runs late in the contest to bust open a tight game and roll to a 15-4 victory over the Joplin Blasters. With the score 5-4 Lemurs, Laredo scored three runs in the sixth inning, five in the seventh and two more in the eighth. The Lemurs had 14 hits in the contest which included five home runs. Laredo C Jesus Posso went 3-for-5 with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI while LF Ty Morrison had a 2-for-4 night with a home run, three runs scored and four RBI. Lemurs DH Devin Harris chipped in with two hits, including a home run, two RBI and scored four times. Laredo reliever Jose Nivar tossed two shutout innings to collect the win. Nivar walked two and struck out a batter.

Fargo-Moorhead 6, Lincoln 3 – Box

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to break a 2-2 tie and cruise to a 6-3 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs. Fargo-Moorhead DH Keury De La Cruz had a terrific night at the plate going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and a RBI. RedHawks 3B Josh Mazzola collected two hits in three at-bats along with a home run, two walks and three RBI while 2B Ryan Pineda had a pair of walks and scored a run. Fargo-Moorhead starting pitcher Tyler Alexander tossed 7 1/3 solid innings to notch his fourth victory of the season. Alexander gave up two earned runs on seven hits with a walk and eight strikeouts. For Lincoln in defeat, C Luis Alen went 3-for-4.
