DURHAM, NC – The American Association announced today that Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks LHP Joe Harris (pictured) has been named the Rawlings Pitcher of the Month for July. The selection was made by Pointstreak, the official statistician of the American Association.
To call Harris a weapon out of the RedHawks’ bullpen might be an understatement. The left-hander was 6-0 in July with three saves and a 1.69 ERA. In 14 appearances, Harris pitched 21.1 total innings and only surrendered 16 hits. Harris has held his opponents hitless in five of those 14 outings.
The southpaw’s numbers were not just impressive in July. Harris’ nine wins places him in a tie for the top spot in the American Association. As a reliever, that is certainly saying something. Harris is the only relief pitcher in the league’s top-10 for victories.
Rawlings is the official baseball of the American Association. They are located in St. Louis, MO and are the official helmet of Major League Baseball and the exclusive supplier of baseballs to Major League Baseball since 1977. For more information about Rawlings go to: http://www.rawlings.com.
