GOLDEYES’ LACHANCE EARNS FIRST PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD

MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Winnipeg Goldeyes’ INF Kevin Lachance has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending May 19, 2019.

Lachance earned the award after hitting .714 with one double, one RBI, and one run scored in three games last week. The former Dodgers’ farmhand is the first winner of the Player of the Week award in 2019.

Lachance began his professional career in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization after being taken in the 10th round of the 2016 MLB Draft out of the University of Maryland Baltimore County. The right handed hitter made his professional debut in 2017 with the Dodgers’ rookie affiliate the Ogden Raptors, where he hit .258 with 17 RBIs and 10 stolen bases in 50 games played. Lachance spent 2018 with the Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier League before signing with the Goldeyes over the offseason.
