St. Paul 7, Salina 2 – Box

The St. Paul Saints scored five runs in the fourth inning to take a 7-1 lead and would never look back en route to a 7-2 victory over Salina. With the win, St. Paul completes the three-game sweep of the Stockade and heads into the all-star break only one game behind Winnipeg in the North Division standings. The Saints collected eight hits as a team and was led by 2B Mitch Delfino who went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and a RBI. St. Paul LF Tim Colwell had a pair of doubles in four at-bats with a run scored and a RBI while PH/RF Ben Buerkle added a single and two runs driven in. Saints starting pitcher Mark Hamburger allowed two earned runs over seven innings pitched to collect his league leading 10th win of the season. Hamburger gave up a walk and nine hits while fanning six batters.

Sioux Falls 5, Texas 2 – Box

Sioux Falls scored single runs in each of the first three innings to jump ahead 3-1 and would cruise from there to a 5-2 win over Texas. The Canaries had eight hits in the game with LF Ty Morrison collecting three of them along with a RBI. Sioux Falls SS Blake Schmit added a triple and a run scored while RF Jabari Henry launched his league lead tying 16th home run of the year. Canaries starting pitcher Joe Bircher tossed seven solid innings and picked up his fourth victory of the season. Bircher allowed two earned runs on seven hits to go with a walk and two strikeouts.  For Texas in the losing effort, RF Casio Grider and 3B Ryan Wagner each contributed two hits.
