MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Chicago Dogs’ OF Victor Roache has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 4, 2019.
Roache earned his second weekly award of the season after hitting .531 over seven games last week, scoring eight runs while clubbing five home runs and driving in 13 runners in the process.
Roache began his professional career in 2013 after being taken in the first round by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2012 MLB Draft. Roache immediately demonstrated his power by hitting a combined 40 home runs over his first two seasons in the minors. Roache spent parts of five seasons in the Brewers’ organization before moving on to the Dodgers organization in 2017. Roache spent 2018 in the St. Louis Cardinals organization , playing mostly in double-A where he hit .218 with 18 home runs and 58 RBIs. So far with the Dogs in 2019 Roache is hitting .315 with 18 home runs and 58 RBIs.
