Winnipeg 5, Lincoln 4 – Box Score

The Winnipeg Goldeyes slid past the Lincoln Saltdogs 5-4 on Thursday night with the help of CF Reggie Abercrombie.

Abercrombie ended up 2-for-3 on the day and he had three RBIs and a run scored including his 11th home run of 2018. DH Grant Heyman also had a pair of hits on the night and 3B Josh Mazzola went 1-for-4 including his 12th roundtripper of the season. 1B Jordan Ebert also added an RBI on the night.

For the Saltdogs, 3B Christian Ibarra went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and C Dashenko Ricardo had a team-high three hits and an RBI.

 

Kansas City 9, Sioux Falls 5 – Box Score

The Kansas City T-Bones turned 15 hits into nine runs as they topped the Sioux Falls Canaries 9-5.

All nine T-Bones recorded a hit in the game and five of them had multi-hit performances. 1B Noah Perio Jr. led the way as he went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored including his third homer of the year. SS Dylan Tice, DH Colin Walsh, 2B Alay Lago and C Tucker Pennell each added a pair of hits. LF Keith Curcio went 1-for-5 with a home run.

For the Canaries, LF Mike Hart went 2-for-5 and SS Jordan Dean added two RBIs.

 

Sioux City 6, Texas 2 – Box Score

The Sioux City Explorers pulled away late from the Texas AirHogs as they secured a 6-2 victory.

Sioux City scored the first runs of the game in the top of the fourth inning as C Dylan Kelly hit an RBI single and LF Daniel Jackson (3-for-4) and an RBI with a double. In the bottom of the inning, CF Dillon Thomas scored as RF Stewart Ijames grounded out. Both teams added a run in the fifth and the Explorers started to pull away in the sixth.

In the top of the sixth, Kelly scored as CF Luis Durango (2-for-4) singled and, in the ninth, DH Blake Schmit singled home both Durango and Jackson to finish off the scoring for the evening.

 

Fargo-Moorhead 5, St. Paul 2 – Box Score

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks picked up their 40th win of the year thanks to a strong performance from LF Brennan Metzger.

Metzger had all five of the RedHawks’ RBIs as he went 2-for-4 with a fifth-inning grand slam. RF Tim Colwell went 2-for-3 with two runs scored on the night with a double and a triple. 2B Maikol Gonzalez had the only other hit of the game for the RedHawks.

St. Paul racked up nine hits including two each from CF Kyle Barrett and 3B Dante Bichette Jr.

 

Chicago 8, Wichita 3 – Box Score

The Chicago Dogs worked past the Wichita Wingnuts 8-3 after turning 15 hits into eight runs on Thursday.

Eight of the nine Chicago batters that went to the plate on Thursday night recorded at least one hit and six of them had more than one. CF Kenny Wilson went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and had three runs scored on the night. 2B Edwin Arroyo, RF Rubi Silva, LF Joe Benson, 3B Matt Dean and SS Stephen Perez each had a pair of hits.

Wilson, Benson and 1B Dalton Blaser each ended up with a home run on the night.

For the Winguts, RF Angel Reyes went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and CF Zach Nehrir went 2-for-4 with a run scorec.
