Fargo-Moorhead 10, Sioux City 9

In the bottom of the ninth inning, after CF Nic Jackson hit a solo home run to tie it at 9-9, LF Mitch Einertson singled home 1B Keith Brachold with the game-winning run as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks won in walk-off fashion, beating the Sioux City Explorers, 10-9. Fargo-Moorhead took an early 3-0 after two innings only to see Sioux City plate eight runs over the next three innings to take an 8-3 advantage after five. The RedHawks started the comeback in the sixth and would win the contest in dramatic fashion in the ninth. Brachold led the offense going 3-for-5 with four RBI. Fargo-Moorhead reliever Joe Harris collected his league lead tying ninth win of the season tossing 1 1/3 innings giving up a hit and a walk. For Sioux City in defeat, 3B Bryan Pounds went 2-for-5 and hit a fifth inning inside-the-park home run.

Winnipeg 6, Trois-Rivieres 5

Pinch runner Jordan Guida scores the game winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning off an error by SS David JL Cooper as the Winnipeg Goldeyes beat the Trois-Rivieres Aigles, 6-5. Winnipeg took an early 3-0 lead after two innings. Trois-Rivieres came back in the sixth to plate five of their own to take a 5-3 lead only to see the Goldeyes score two runs in the bottom of the frame to tie it at 5-5. The score would stay that way until the ninth where Winnipeg plates the game winning run off the error. First baseman Casey Haerther and C Luis Alen each had three hits to lead the Goldeyes offense. CF Fehlandt Lentini stole his 14th base of the year and in the process became the new independent baseball career stolen base leader with 332.

El Paso 5, Kansas City 0

A terrific pitching performance by El Paso starter Reyes Dorado leads the Diablos to a 5-0 shutout of the Kansas City T-Bones. Dorado went eight sharp innings allowing only one walk and three hits while fanning three Kansas City batters. With the victory, he improved his record to 1-1 on the season. The Diablos received a huge day offensively from SS Maikol Gonzalez. The leadoff hitter went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles, three runs scored and a RBI. El Paso 2B Jose G. Garcia chipped in with two RBI.

St. Paul 8, Gary SouthShore 3

After trailing 2-0 after four innings, the St. Paul Saints got the offense going, scoring eight runs over the next four innings and going on to beat the Gary SouthShore RailCats, 8-3. St. Paul 2B Dan Kaczrowski had a terrific game at the plate going 4-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI. Three Saints batters had two-hit games including C Dwight Childs who went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. St. Paul starting pitcher Anthony Claggett notched his seventh win of the season while giving up two runs on six hits in six innings pitched.
