WINGNUTS ROLL OVER T-BONES

Wingnuts Secondary

Wichita 10, Kansas City 3- Box

A steady offensive attack by the Wingnuts pounded out 13 hits and plated 10 runs in a 10-3 triumph in Kansas City on Wednesday. Wichita snapped a 1-1 tie with three runs in the fourth inning. RF Richard Prigatano hit a two-RBI double for the inning’s first runs, and would score himself on an RBI single by 2B Christian Stringer. Wichita used the long ball for another three-run frame to put the ballgame away in the ninth — LF Brennen Salgado hit a solo shot and C Zac Fisher followed with a two-run blast.

In all, five Wingnuts finished with two hits on the day — Prigatano, Stringer, Salgado, Fisher, and DH Brent Clevlen. RHP Tyler Kane struck out eight over seven innings to earn the win.

RF Chantz Mack went 2-for-4 with a home run for Kansas City in the loss.
