Two walk-off’s highlight Sunday’s action

Sioux City Explorers 10, Lincoln Saltdogs 9 – Box Score

The Sioux City Explorers walked off the Lincoln Saltdogs 10-9 in ten innings Sunday night. 

Sebastian Zawada scored the winning run for the Explorer (20-11). Chase Harris recorded two hits, including a home run, and three RBI. Chris Clare added three hits and two RBI. L.T. Tolbert went 3-for-4.

Edgar Corcino 3-for-4 with a home run and six RBI for the Saltdogs (15-14). Skyler Weber added two hits and two RBI. Forrest Allday went 2-for-3 with three runs scored.

Jose Velez earned the win for Sioux City. James Pugliese took the loss for Lincoln, recording four outs and giving up two runs.

 

Kansas City Monarchs 9, Winnipeg Goldeyes 8 – Box Score

A walk-off home run by Jan Hernandez gave Kansas City a 9-8 win over Winnipeg Sunday afternoon. 

Hernandez’s two-run home run came with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning. Hernandez’s home run was his lone hit of the night. Ryan Grotjohn scored the other run of the two-run homer. Darnell Sweeney, Casey Gillapsie and Morgan McCullough each drove in two runs.

Tyler Hill added three hits and three RBI for Winnipeg. Max Murphy added three hits and Kyle Martin two RBI.

Ramsey Romano pitched three innings of shutout baseball to pick up the win. Jose Jose took the loss for the Goldeyes.

 

Milwaukee Milkmen 7, Kane County Cougars 6 – Box Score

A 4-for-4 day for Anibal Sierra  gave the Milkmen a 7-6 victory over Kane County Sunday.

Sierra hit a home run and two RBI. Adam Brett Walker II picked up two hits including a home run. Christian Correa and Aaron Hill added home runs for the Milkmen.

Kacy Clemens picked up three hits and two RBI for the Cougars. Gavin LaValley added two hits and a RBI. Mitch Reeves and Jack Surin contributed one hit and one RBI.

Ryan Boyer earned the win for Milwaukee, going five innings without allowing a run. Josh Tols took the loss for Kane County, allowing six runs over five innings.

 

Sioux Falls Canaries 7, Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 2 – Box Score

A four RBI day for Jabari Henry carried the Canaries to a 7-2 victory over Fargo-Moorhead Sunday afternoon.

Henry picked up two hits, including a home run for the Canaries. Wyatt Ulrich drove in a run on two hits.

Leobaldo Pina went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the RedHawks. Will Zimmerman and Kevin Krause added two hits each. 

Angel Ventura pitched six innings, giving up two runs in the win. Tyler Herron took the loss for the RedHawks.

 

Cleburne Railroaders 7, Houston Apollos 4 – Box Score

Cleburne was able to hold onto its lead to take a 7-4 victory over Houston Sunday evening. 

Chase Simpson recorded one hit, a home run, and three RBI for the Railroaders. John Nester added a home run and three RBI.

Yeiler Peguero went 4-for-5 with two doubles for Houston. Daniel Aldrich and Taylor Zeutenhorst each added two hits and a RBI.

Alex Fishberg pitched two innings to earn the win for Cleburne. Kyle Chavez picked up the save. Tucker Smith pitched six innings, giving up four runs in the loss.
