THREE ADDED TO ALL-STAR TEAMS

Three players have been added to the American Association All-Star rosters for the game to be played on Tuesday. 2B Jake Kahaulelio of the Wichita Wingnuts, INF Ron Bourquin of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks and C Vince DiFazio of the Grand Prairie AirHogs will represent their clubs in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Tuesday night.

Kahaulelio and DiFazio will play for the South All-Star team managed by Kevin Hooper of the Wichita Wingnuts, and Bourquin will play for Gary SouthShore RailCats manager Greg Tagert on the North All-Star team.

Kahaulelio is in his third season with the Wingnuts, and his hitting .317 in 64 games as of the start of play Sunday. Kahaulelio has 22 doubles, with four home runs and 46 RBI.

Bourquin, a second-year RedHawk, will serve as the North team’s utility player. He is hitting .264 with 16 doubles, a triple and 12 home runs with 43 RBI. Bourquin .296 a year ago for Fargo-Moorhead.

DiFazio, in his first season with Grand Prairie, is hitting .233 with 10 doubles and two home runs, along with 17 RBI. Both of his home runs came on July 13 at the Sioux Falls Canaries.

The trio replaces Laredo Lemurs 2B Travis Denker, Amarillo Sox C Jeff Farnham and Winnipeg Goldeyes utility player Ryan Pineda.

The All-Star Game will be played Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Central time at Shaw Park in Winnipeg, the home of the Goldeyes. The game will be broadcast on www.independentprofessionalbaseball.com from InnovaTV.
