T-BONES WALK OFF ON LEMURS IN 12

Kansas City 10, Laredo 9 – 12 InningsBox Score

The Kansas City T-Bones walked off on the Laredo Lemurs 10-9 on a single by CF Robby Kuzdale in the bottom of the 12th inning that scored a pair of runs.

The Lemurs scored in the top of the ninth inning – LF Ty Morrison crossed the plate on an error – and that tied the score at seven runs apiece. After a scoreless tenth, both teams plated the runner that started the inning on second base in the 11th and the score remained level. In the top of the 12th, SS J.D. Pulfer singled home DH Kevin Taylor to five the Lemurs a one-run lead. But in the bottom of the frame, with the bases-loaded and two outs, Kuzdale singled to left field to score two runs and end the game.

With just one week left in the season, the Lemurs hold a half-game lead in the wild card race.

 

Fargo-Moorhead 9, Winnipeg 2 — Box Score

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks jumped out an early lead and never trailed on their way to a 9-2 win against the Winnipeg Goldeyes.

The RedHawks racked up 17 hits from eight different batters. Six of those batters had multi-hit games and three RedHawks – RF Joe Dunigan, 3B Michael Wing and 2B Ryan Pineda – had three-hit games. Pineda as well as SS Zach Penprase and C Luke Bailey each had a pair of RBI. For the Goldeyes, CF Reggie Abercrombie and 2B Brad Boyer each went 2-for-4.

On the bump, starting pitcher Taylor Stanton earned the win for working six innings and allowing two runs on seven hits. He also recorded four strikeouts.
