The Saltdogs beat the Saints by four runs to extend their winning streak to three games. It was also their 42nd win of the year. The Saints overcame a 4-3 deficit in the sixth, as they scored a run to tie the game in the inning. The Saltdogs then scored two runs in the seventh and eighth innings each and won 8-4. SS Christian Ibarra was 1-5 in the win, and hit his sixth home run of the season, while he also drove in two runs. 2B Cesar Valera was 4-5 in the win and hit his fourth home run of the year. RHP Fabio Martinez pitched 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the victory. RHP J.R. Bunda pitched two scoreless innings to earn his first save of the year.

Sioux City 2, Sioux Falls 0 (Game 1 – 7 innings) – Box

The Explorers took down the Canaries in the first game of their doubleheader on Sunday as they won thanks to a seven inning shutout from LHP Kramer Sneed, who stymied the Canaries to just four hits over seven scoreless innings. Sneed (4-2) walked a batter and struck out three in the win. The Explorers scored both their runs in the fourth inning when CF Tony Campana reached on a single, stole second and then a play later scored from third on a balk. The next batter up was DH LeVon Washington, who drove in the only other run of the game on a RBI fielder’s choice. Campana finished 2-3 in the win and stole his 23rd base of the season.

Winnipeg 15, Fargo-Moorhead 6 – Box

The series finale between the Goldeyes and Redhawks was a tight-knit contest until the fourth inning when the Goldeyes erupted for an eight-run fourth to take a 10-2 lead over the Redhawks as they went on to win 15-6. Three home runs were hit in the inning, with the big play being a grand slam from RF David Rohm. CF Reggie Abercrombie and 1B Shawn Pleffner also homered in the inning and the Goldeyes hit six home runs on the day. 1B Trever Adams had a huge day in the loss, hitting two home runs and knocking in five runs to give his team some run support. However, the Goldeyes proved too much as they won by nine runs. LHP Kevin McGovern earned the win, as he pitched six innings of five-run ball. McGovern (8-2) allowed seven hits and struck out six batters.
