St. Paul, Minn. – All eyes will be on the city of Saint Paul on August 1st and 2nd as the St. Paul Saints host the American Association All-Star Game and festivities at CHS Field. With the entire league heading to Minnesota’s capitol city the All-Star game logo design will highlight the two places that best define the Saints: their two homes, the city of Saint Paul and CHS Field. CHS (a leading global agribusiness based in Inver Grove Heights, Minn.,) will partner with the Saints to present the All-Star Game. Chevrolet will get the festivities started as the sponsor of the Home Run Derby on All-Star Monday
At first glance the logo looks similar to the Saints 50’ X 30’ video board, featuring the CHS Field logo at the top and the boxed, rectangular shape below. On closer examination, however, the “video board” shape highlights the ballpark and the city in various ways. The actual shape of the logo represents that of CHS Field’s architecture with its open and angular features. Next, the three colors: grey, yellow and black, represent the three colors predominately used at CHS Field. The grey represents the three different colors of grey used for the seats in the main seating bowl of the ballpark. The yellow represents the recognizable sprinkling of yellow seats throughout the main seating bowl along with the yellow hue of the unique cedar soffit found above the main concourse and on the ceiling of the ballpark’s Club and Suite level. The black in the logo represents the blackened steel façade found throughout CHS Field which connects the ballpark’s design to the many historic buildings in neighboring Lowertown, St. Paul.
Inside of the logo are two iconic artist renderings. In the top right of the logo is the Saint Paul skyline complete with the Capitol Building and the Cathedral of Saint Paul, a civic landmark and the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Paul and Minneapolis. In the second row on the left side is a pig with the letters “STP” making up most of the body. The pig represents the fact that the City of Saint Paul was known as Pig’s Eye Landing until 1841 and that the Saints have a featured four-legged pig as a mascot that delivers baseballs to the umpire.

Chevrolet is sponsoring the home run derby on August 1 and as part of their partnership youth baseball players from around the Twin Cities will shag in the outfield during the home run derby. All-Star Monday will include a celebrity softball game, the Chevrolet Home Run Derby and a musical entertainment to be announced at a later date.
All-Star Monday, August 1, will begin with the Celebrity Softball Game at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Chevrolet Home Run Derby and the musical entertainment will close out the evening. The CHS All-Star Game will start at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2.
Tickets for the CHS All-Star Game with a Post-Game Fireworks Supershow begin at $5 for berm seating (available only on day of game in person at the box office), $9 for bleacher seats, $15 for the drink rail, $17 for outfield reserved, $19 for infield reserved and $21 for home plate reserved. Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don’t require a seat are free.

Saints Box Office hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. On game days, the Box Office will open at 9 a.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday and12:00 p.m. on Sunday and will remain open until 15 minutes following each game.
