REYNOLDS HITS 14TH HOME RUN IN TEXAS’ WIN OVER X’S

JUNE 19 AFTERNOON RECAP

Texas 9, Sioux City 4 – Box

Four runs in the fifth inning broke a 4-4 tie to push the Texas AirHogs past the Sioux City Explorers. Starter Matt Shepherd earned the win allowing two earned runs over six innings. For the AirHogs LF Burt Reynolds hit his league leading 14th home run while C Michael Miller went 3-for-5 with three RBI. For the Explorers, 2B Noah Perio went 3-for-4.

 

St. Paul 6, Winnipeg 1 – Box

The St. Paul Saints outhit the Winnipeg Goldeyes 15-7 to help secure a 6-1 win. LF Willie Argo and CF Breland Almadova paced the offense recording three hits each. Starter Kody Knaus allowed one earned run over six innings to log the win on the mound. For Winnipeg, RF David Rohm went 2-for-4.

 

Wichita 7, Fargo-Moorhead 3 – Box

Wichita starter Charlie Leesman earned his second win of the year not allowing an earned run through five innings to guide the Wingnuts to a 7-3 victory over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Wingnuts’ CF Harrison Kain went 3-for-4 to increase his season batting average to .354 and DH Brent Clevlen hit his seventh home run of the year. Wichita outhit the RedHawks 11-9. For Fargo-Moorhead, C Ryan Wagner guided the offense going 2-for-4.
