JUNE 5 EVENING RECAP

Fargo-Moorhead 19, Sioux Falls 4 – Box

It was all Fargo-Moorhead in this contest as the RedHawks rolled past the Sioux Falls Canaries by a 19-4 score. Fargo-Moorhead was sensational at the plate tonight as they banged out a total of 21 hits with eight batters in the lineup having multi-hit games. RedHawks LF Chad Mozingo had a 3-for-5 outing with two home runs, four runs scored and five RBI. Fargo-Moorhead DH Keury De La Cruz went 3-for-6 with a home run, three runs scored and four RBI while 1B Brian Humphries added a pair of round-trippers and drove in four runs. In total, the RedHawks launched six home runs in the game. Fargo-Moorhead starting pitcher Tyler Alexander picked up more than enough run support to notch his second victory of the season. Alexander tossed six innings giving up three earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.

Laredo 7, St. Paul 6 – Box

Trailing 2-0 after three innings of play, Laredo tallied five runs over the next three innings to move out to a 5-2 lead and would hold off a late St. Paul rally to win, 7-6. Lemurs 1B Jesus Posso led the way offensively going 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBI. Laredo 3B Travis Denker walked three times and scored a pair of runs while CF Drew Martinez had a 2-for-3 outing with a run scored and a RBI. Lemurs starting pitcher Danny Moskovits notched his second win as he allowed four runs, two earned, on four hits with two strikeouts. For the Saints in the loss, LF Willie Argo went 1-for-3 with a home run.
