Box Scores

Gary SouthShore 8, St. Paul 7

Gary SouthShore gave up a one-run lead in the eighth, but came back to win in the ninth when Cristian Guerrero hit a walk-off single. The RailCats beat St. Paul, 8-7, as Guerrero’s single brought home Adam Klein with the tying run and Mike Massaro with the winning run.

The Saints came from behind to take a one-run lead in the eighth on a two-out double by Jose Hernandez. But, the RailCats put together a two-out rally of their own. Klein walked, then Massaro singled and the two moved to second and third on a wild pitch. That paved the way for Guerrero to win the game with a two-run single.

New Jersey 7, Fargo-Moorhead 6

Bryan Sabatella’s three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth propelled New Jersey to a comeback victory over Fargo-Moorhead, 7-6. The Jackals trailed 5-4 before Sabatella delivered with his fifth homer of the season, giving New Jersey its first and only lead of the game.

The RedHawks, however, did not go down easily in the ninth. Tim Adleman came in for New Jersey to close out the game, but Fargo-Moorhead rallied to pull within one run. Buddy Sosnoskie reached base with a leadoff single and scored on a two-out single by Nic Jackson. After the Jackson single, C.J. Retherford delivered a single of his own, moving Jackson to third. The RedHawks had the tying run on third and the go-ahead run on first, but Adleman induced a flyout to centerfield to end the game.
