PRINCE BECOMES SECOND AIRHOG SOLD TO MLB ORGANIZATION SINCE END OF 2018

MOORHEAD, MINN. – The Texas AirHogs have sold the contract of INF Josh Prince to the Arizona Diamondbacks’ organization, the American Association announced Sunday, July 7. Prince is the 33rd  American Association player to have his contract purchased by a Major League organization in 2019.

Prince hit .309 with two home runs, 11 doubles, one triple, and 11 RBIs across 41 games with the AirHogs in 2019. Prince is the second Texas player to be sold to a major league organization since the end of the 2018 season.

The former major leaguer began his professional career in 2009 after being drafted in the third round of the MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. Prince spent four seasons in the Brewers’ minor league system before debuting with the club in 2013, collecting one hit in nine plate appearances across eight games.
