DURHAM, NC – The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Kansas City T-Bones INF Matt Padgett (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Hitter of the Week.
Padgett’s power numbers carried him to Hitter of the Week honors. The T-Bones infielder homered four times and drove in eight runs over six games. He was also consistent at the plate, hitting safely in every game to improve his hit streak to eight games.
The left-handed hitter delivered his best two games on Wednesday and Sunday. Padgett started the week off strong with two home runs in the second game of the week against Sioux Falls. Then, on Sunday, Padgett ended the week with two doubles and a home run against St. Paul. He drove in a pair of runs that game in a 3-for-5 performance.
