Milwaukee 3, Winnipeg 2 (10 Innings) – Box Score

The Milwaukee Milkmen edged the Winnipeg Goldeyes 3-2 in 10 innings on Saturday night thanks to an RBI single from C Christian Correa.

Both teams scored in the first inning as 2B Dylan Tice (2-for-5) doubled home CF Brett Vertigan (3-for-5) in the top half for the Milkmen and SS Wes Darvill (2-for-4) hit a lead-off homer in the bottom half for the Goldeyes. Tice homered in the fourth to briefly give the Milkmen the lead, but in the bottom half, LF Jordan George (2-for-4) singled to score RF Dario Pizzano (2-for-5) to tie things up again.

The score remained tied until the top of the 10th when Vertigan hit a lead-off single and moved to third on a pair of wild pitches. Correa singled to left first to plate the game-winning run.

The Milkmen now sit just 1.5 games behind the Goldeyes in second place and one game clear of the St. Paul Saints.

 

Chicago 6, St. Paul 5 – Box Score

The Chicago Dogs held off a late push from the St. Paul Saints to claim a 6-5 win on Saturday night at Impact Field.

In the third, the Saints scored the first run as LF Alonzo Harris (4-for-5) singled home CF Mikey Reynolds but the Dogs responded in the bottom of the frame when 3B Joey Terdoslavich lifted a sac fly that plated CF Michael Crouse. Harris homered in the fifth to put the Saints back in front but that lead didn’t last long. In the bottom half, LF Harrison Smith hit a solo shot and 1B K.C. Hobson hit a three-run homer to give the Dogs the lead. C Logan Moore added crucial lead-off homer in the sixth for the Dogs.

The Saints pulled to within one run with a three-run rally in the top of the eighth. C Mitch Ghelfi bounced into a fielder’s choice that allowed 2B Josh Allen to score and RF Max Murphy (2-for-4) and SS Nate Samson (2-for-4) added unearned runs before the end of the inning but the rally didn’t carry over into the ninth.

 

Fargo-Moorhead 11, Sioux Falls 3 – Box Score

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks racked up 21 hits on the way to an 11-3 win against the Sioux Falls Canaries on Saturday night in Sioux Falls.

Eight of the nine RedHawks that went to the plate registered at least one hit and six of them had three or more. 1B Correlle Prime went 4-for-5 with a homer, two RBIs and three runs scored. DH Drew Ward, 3B Leobaldo Pina, C Dylan Kelly. SS Sam Dexter and RF Alex Boxwell each add three hits. Dexter had three RBIs and Pina added a pair.

For the Canaries, 3B Damek Tomscha went 3-for-4 with an RBI and SS Andrew Ely and 2B Alay Lago also added an RBI, all in the third inning.
