MAZZOLA NAMED PLAYER OF THE MONTH

DURHAM, NC – Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks INF Josh Mazzola (pictured) earned the title of Rawlings Player of the Month for the month of June in the American Association. Herron was selected by Pointstreak, the official statistician of the American Association.

This month, Mazzola batted .366 with nine home runs and 31 RBI. Currently, he leads the league in RBI with 44. The Missouri State University product had a nine game hitting streak from June 16-June 25. His best performance came on June 25 where he went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in a 10-9 win over Kansas City. Recently, he went 4-for-5 with a home run on June 29 in a 7-6 loss at Sioux City.

From 2012-2015, Mazzola played with the Winnipeg Goldeyes with his best year occurring in 2012 where he batted .308 with 18 home runs and 74 RBI. This is his first year with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks where he is hitting .331 and has blasted 11 home runs.
