KEON BARNUM BREAKS AMERICAN ASSOCIATION SINGLE-SEASON HR RECORD SUNDAY

Barnum

(Via Chicago Dogs) ROSEMONT, Ill. — Keon Barnum broke the American Association single-season record with his 31st home run of the year, but the Chicago Dogs could not muster enough additional runs as they fell to the St. Paul Saints, 4-2, on Sunday night at Impact Field.

Barnum’s blast, a solo home run, came in the fourth inning off of St. Paul starter Jordan Jess to tie the game at one. The home run broke C.J. Ziegler’s mark of 30, which he set as a member of the Wichita Wingnuts in 2013.
