The Kane County Cougars (16-15) take the game at home against the Sioux Falls Canaries (9-23) on Friday night at Northwestern Medicine Field.
The Canaries took an early 1-0 lead after the first inning as Wyatt Ulrich scored on a single hit by Jabari Henry. The Cougars rallied back in the second scoring two runs to take the lead after Cornelius Randolph hit a triple that sent Sherman Johnson home to tie the game. B.J. Johnson followed up Randolph’s triple with a single that scored Randolph to tie the game.
The Cougars tacked on some insurance runs in the sixth inning on a Randolph two-run home run.
Vance Worley picked up the win on the mound pitching six strong innings working around six hits and only giving up one earned run.
