Going into the all-star break on a big high by taking two of three on the road in Lincoln, Milwaukee finished the weekend after the break with a series split at home against Winnipeg. Notably, the bats were scorching hot in their first two games after the break, scoring 11 and 19 runs respectively before the Goldeyes pitching staff held them down and won the final two games of the four-game set. Bryan Torres has been one of the leaders among many hot hitters in the Milwaukee lineup as of late, shooting himself back to the top of the league in batting average at a .357 clip, tied for the most hits with 82 as well. Not to mention he also leads the league by a wide margin with 44 stolen bases.
