Laredo 6, Newark 2

The Laredo Lemurs scored six runs on 12 hits to take down the Newark Bears in the latest interleague matchup, 6-2.

Three Laredo players were responsible for driving in each of the six Lemur runs. C Brian Peterson, 1B John Alonso, and DH John Allen combined to go 3-13 with six RBIs and two home runs.

Sean Tracey was tagged with the win for Laredo. Through six innings he only allowed two runs on seven Newark hits. He also managed to strikeout four batters and walk just one on 97 pitches.

Kansas City 10, Fargo-Moorhead 3

The Kansas City T-Bones erupted for 16 hits in a 10-3 victory of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.

3B Brandon Jones had a spectacular night at the plate, going 3-6 with three home runs, giving him 12 on the year. He picked up four RBIs and scored three times.

Jones, RF Luis Rivera, and 2B Anthony Davis each delivered three hits on the night for the T-Bones.

Shaun Garceau started on the mound for Kansas City and threw seven innings of three-run ball. He struck out four batters and walked one en route to the win.

Wichita 7, Grand Prairie 1

The Wichita Wingnuts held the Grand Prairie AirHogs to just one run to win 7-1.

Justin Klipp, Junior Guerra, and Daniel Bennett combined for nine strikeouts and just three hits allowed on the mound for Wichita. Klipp picked up his seventh win of the season for throwing seven innings and allowing the sole Grand Prairie run.

1B CJ Ziegler and CF Brent Clevlen paced the Wingnuts offensively. Ziegler was 2-4 with a home run and three RBIs while Clevlen went 3-4 with a triple and one RBI.

Amarillo 5, Lincoln 2

With 16 total hits, the Amarillo Sox were able to top the Lincoln Saltdogs 5-2.

Each Sox hitter tallied a hit on the night with five batters having multi-hit games. C Chris Grossman and SS K.C. Serna combined to go 6-8 with each player coming across with three hits.

Jason Mitchell tossed 5.2 shutout innings to pick up the win for the Sox. He scattered three hits and struck out seven batters on 75 pitches while walking just two. Erik Draxton picked up the save for throwing a scoreless ninth.

Winnipeg 11, Sioux Falls 3

Both teams would put up 14 hits but Winnipeg would be the one to take advantage of them as they beat Sioux Falls 11-3.

1B Casey Haerther had a nice night out of the seven spot, going 2-4 with a triple, two runs and four RBIs. Yurendell de Caster also had a noteworthy night, hitting his first home run of the season.

Chris Salamida threw five innings and gave up just one run while picking up his sixth win for the Goldeyes. He allowed nine hits and struck out two batters while walking just one.

Gary SouthShore 6, St. Paul 0

The Gary SouthShore RailCats grabbed an easy win after shutting out the St. Paul Saints 6-0.

Stephen Hiscock threw an excellent game. He went eight complete innings and only gave up four hits while striking out 10 batters. In the shutout outing he also walked just two.

Leadoff hitter and left fielder Adam Klein had a perfect night at the plate, with four hits in four at bats including two doubles. He also tacked on a walk, two runs, and two RBIs.

Sioux City 17, El Paso 4

The Sioux City Explorers went off for 20 hits to easily take down the El Paso Diablos.

CF Eliezer Mesa led the Explorers from the tenth spot in the lineup with four hits out of six at bats. He also managed to drive in two runs and score three. 2B Anthony Kaskadden went 3-5 in the leadoff spot and also scored three runs.

Andy Noga would be the winning pitcher of the night after throwing six innings and allowing just one earned run. He let up six hits, struck out five batters, and walked just one.
