MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Wichita Wingnuts’ IF Tony Thomas (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending July 15.

The Florida native spent eight seasons in affiliated ball, reaching triple-A in the Cubs’ and Red Sox’ organizations as well as double-A in the Twins’, White Sox’, Phillies’ and Tigers’ organizations. Thomas moved on to independent ball with the St. Paul Saints in 2016 where he hit a career-high 18 home runs.
