MOORHEAD, MINNESOTA — The contract of Kansas City T-Bones’ IF Taylor Featherston (pictured) has been purchased by the Cincinnati Reds, the American Association announced on Tuesday.

The Former Major Leaguer is heading back to organizational ball after hitting .261 with 1 HR and 5 RBIs over the past week. Since joining the T-Bones on June 26, Featherston has been a mainstay in a Kansas City lineup that has put together an impressive 39-21 record.

The Houston, Texas native began his professional career in 2011 after being drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 5th round of the MLB Draft. Featherston made his major league debut with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2015, playing in 101 game across in his rookie season. He went on to spend parts of 2016 with the Philadelphia Phillies and 2017 with the Tampa Bay Rays. Featherston is the seventh T-Bones player to be purchased by a MLB organization since the end of last season.
