DOGS’ SNELTEN DOMINANT AUGUST EARNS PITCHER OF THE MONTH AWARD

MOORHEAD, MN.- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Chicago Dogs’ LHP D.J. Snelten has been named the league’s Rawlings Pitcher of the Month for the month of August.

Snelten allowed just six earned runs in six starts (43.2 innings) over the past 30 days. During the month, the lefty went 3-0 while posting a 1.24 ERA and striking out 44 while only walking 8. On the season, Snelten is 7-3 with a 3.11 ERA.

Snelten began his professional career in 2013 after being drafted in the ninth round of the 2013 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants. Snelten spent five seasons in the Giants’ minor league system before making his MLB debut with the Giants in 2018. In 2018, Snelten threw 4.1 innings at the major-league-level.
