DOGS’ ROSSELLI HAMMERS HOME RUNS; EARNS POINTSTREAK PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD

MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Chicago Dogs’ OF Tony Rosselli has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending May 26, 2019.

Rosselli earned the award after hitting .455 this past week, while hammering four home runs, collecting eight RBIs and scoring six runs of his own. The Indiana State grad’s marquee performance of the week was a 3-for-5 three home run game that lifted the Dogs over the St. Paul Saints by a score of 7-6 in extra innings on May 23.

Rosselli began his professional career with Chicago last season. In 60 games with the Dogs in 2018, the right handed slugger batted .240 with eight home runs and 21 RBIs. So far Rosselli is batting .458 with four home runs, one triple, and 11 RBIs in 2019.
