DOGS’ ROACHE EARNS THIRD PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD

MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Chicago Dogs’ OF Victor Roache has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending September 1, 2019.

Roache now has now won three player of the week awards in the 2019 season. He also won the week ending June 2 and the week ending August 4. During the past week, Roach batted .462 while scoring 7 runs and hitting 3 doubles, 3 home runs, and 11 RBIs. With one game left to play in the regular season, Roache is hitting .308 with 24 home runs and 79 RBIs. His 24 home runs trail only teammate Keon Barnum (31) for the league lead.

Roache began his professional career in 2013 after being taken in the first round by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2012 MLB Draft. Roache immediately demonstrated his power by hitting a combined 40 home runs over his first two seasons in the minors. Roache spent parts of five seasons in the Brewers’ organization before moving on to the Dodgers organization in 2017.  Roache spent 2018 in the St. Louis Cardinals organization , playing mostly in double-A where he hit .218 with 18 home runs and 58 RBIs.
