Chicago 14, Fargo-Moorhead 7-Box Score

The Chicago Dogs moved in to within 4.5 games of first place in the North Division with a 14-7 win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks Sunday.

LF Kelly Dugan had a game to remember for Chicago, going 3-for-5 at the plate with three runs scored, two home runs, and seven RBIs. 1B Trey Vavra also homered for the Dogs and drove in two in the process.

2B T.J. Bennet paced the RedHawks, going 1-for-2 at the dish with two runs scored, a home run, two RBIs and three walks drawn.

RHP Daniel Hurtado, who was acquired in a trade with Cleburne earlier this week, gave up one run in two innings of relief on his way to earning the win.


Sioux City 6, Cleburne 5-Box Score
The Sioux City Explorers moved to within two games of first place in the South Division with a win over the Cleburne Railroaders Sunday.

Explorers tied the game at 4-4 with a three-run bottom of the fifth that included an RBI single by LF Sebastian Zawada and a two-run double by SS Nate Samson. Sioux City gained the lead one inning later when Zawada collected his second RBI single of the game. The Explorers capped their scoring with a needed insurance run in the bottom of the seventh, an RBI triple by Samson.

LF Angel Reyes paced the Railroaders, going 2-for-5 wit two runs scored, a home run, and two RBIs.

SP Taylor Jordan was awarded the win.

Gary SouthShore 11, St. Paul 7-Box Score
The St. Paul Saints sit three games back of first place in the North Division after a loss to the Gary SouthShore RailCats Sunday.

DH Ray Jones led the RailCats, going 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBIs. 1B Alex Crosby and LF John Price Jr. also homered for Gary SouthShore.

RF Michael Lang paced St. Paul, going 2-for-4 with three runs scored, one home run, and two RBIs.

Lincoln 4, Sioux Falls 2-Box Score
The Lincoln Saltdogs topped the Sioux Falls Canaries by a score of 4-2 Sunday night.

The Saltdogs broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh, scoring on on an error and one on a sac-fly by SS Christian Ibarra.

SP Ricky Knapp earned the win after giving up just two in seven innings of work. RHP Reese Gregory pitched a scoreless eighth and ninth to earn the save.
