DURHAM, NC – Seth Lintz (pictured) had a strong finish to the 2013 season in Laredo. The Lemurs’ reliever won his last two decisions and held his opponents scoreless in six of his last eight outings. As a result, the Arizona Diamondbacks came calling and have purchased Lintz’s contract from Laredo.

Before joining the Lemurs, Lintz made four starts and four relief appearances for the El Paso Diablos this season. Laredo picked up the right-hander on July 22 and Lintz finished out the year with the Lemurs. He started twice and came out of the bullpen 12 times, compiling a 2-1 record. Lintz put together eight scoreless outings for Laredo.

Lintz was originally a Milwaukee Brewers draft pick back in 2008. The Brewers selected the Tennessee high school righty in the second round and Lintz spent five years in their organization. This past season was Lintz’s first in independent baseball, but he will now return to affiliated ball with the Diamondbacks’ organization.
