Brent Clevlen

DURHAM, NC – August was a banner month for Wichita Wingnuts OF Brent Clevlen (pictured). Clevlen was arguably the most dangerous offensive player in the league in the final full month of the season and has been named the Rawlings Hitter of the Month. Clevlen was selected by Pointstreak, the official statistician of the American Association.

Clevlen’s biggest asset to the Wingnuts in August was as a run-producer. He drove in a remarkable 30 runs during the month, including eight games in which Clevlen tallied multiple RBI.

In addition to driving in a bevy of runs, Clevlen was extremely consistent at the dish. The Austin, TX native hit .457 in August and had 14 multi-hit games.

Clevlen’s biggest game of August came at the very beginning of the month. On August 1, at St. Paul, Clevlen went 4-for-5 at the dish. As part of that monster day, Clevlen belted two home runs and registered six RBI.
