Tuesday afternoon was the Anthony Claggett show at Midway Stadium. The Saints’ RHP (pictured) threw a seven-inning complete game shutout, scattering four hits and striking out seven Saltdogs. The win moved the former New York Yankee to 4-1 with a 1.25 ERA on the season.
His run support came largely from CF Evan Bigley, who was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI. 1B Angelo Songco notched a two-RBI double in the bottom of the fifth. DH Willie Cabrera was 2-for-2 and had an RBI single in the first inning. 3B Devin Thaut was 2-for-4 as well.
