Thomas carried the AirHogs, batting .333 with 13 home runs, 54 RBIs and 14 stolen bases. At the time his contract was purchased, the Houston Texas native was first in the league in doubles (37), second in OPS (1.021), first in slugging (.601), and third in OBP (.420).
Thomas originally began his professional career in 2011 after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies. The left handed slugger spent seven seasons in the Rockies’ organization before signing with Texas in the offseason. He is the 17th American Association player to be purchased by an MLB organization since the end of the 2017 season.
