Kia of Fargo Throwing Accuracy and Bunting Competition are locked in for July 21 at Newman Outdoor Field. These competitions will take place between each of the rounds for the Jeremiah Johnson Home Run Derby.
The Kia of Fargo Throwing Accuracy and Bunting Competitions will be streamed live for free on AABaseball.TV starting at 7pm CT on Monday, July 21.

The Rules
- 4-contestants, 2- rounds (semi-final & finals)
- Contestants will have up to 1-minute to knock over 5-baseball bats that are set up at homeplate/ batters box, throwing from the mound area. (see attached picture for visual idea)
- Contestants with the least number of throws to knock over all the bats after the semi-final move onto the finals (top 2-move on). Contestant with the least number of throws to knock over all the bats after the final is the winner.
- If a ball struck bat knocks over another bat(s), it counts. If a ball strikes the platform and knocks over a bat(s), it counts.
- In the event of a tie score, the players involved will have a ‘throw off’, taking turns to knock down one bat, first to knock it over moves on/wins.

The Rules
- 4-contestants, 2- rounds (semi-final & finals)
- Contestants score points by successfully laying down bunts onto targets placed down each baseline (see attached picture for visual idea)
- Each contestant gets enough pitches to lay down 4-fair ball bunts. They land in the targets and get the associated points. Bunts that are fair but don’t land in the target receive 0 points.
- Contestants are allowed to take pitches.
- The contestants with the most points after the semi-finals move onto the finals (top 2-move on). Contestant with the most points after the final is the winner.
- In the event of a tie score, the players involved will have a ‘bunt off’, taking turns to lay one bunt down, until someone lands a bunt with the highest score.
